A bit of a blast from the past for me with this release from the longstanding British Society for Phenomenology Podcast. Season Eight is now being released and my paper from the BSP Annual Conference 2021 has appeared. The event was titled The Future as a Present Concern, and the conference was convened with the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) and The Irish Philosophical Society (IPS). It took place online – due to Covid – in early September 2021. The format of the conference meant most of the papers were pre-recorded videos scheduled in parallel sessions over three days, with post-talk discussions happening in a chatroom.

The full title of my paper was ‘Polysemous futurity in the cinematics of Cloud Atlas and Nietzsche’s Beyond Good and Evil’. Given I had produced a video for the conference, I posted that on Youtube back in the day, so this recording has been out there for awhile anyhow. But really happy the BSP Podcast episode is now out too!
